Chainalysis, the blockchain analysis company, today announced the expansion of its certification program with the launch of the Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification (CCFC). The CCFC training course provides participants with a foundational understanding of cryptocurrency technology, insight into key stakeholders, use cases, and functions of cryptocurrency relative to the traditional financial system. Until now, Chainalysis’s certification programs were limited to customers using Chainalysis investigations and compliance products.
The CCFC is the first program of its kind available to professionals in financial services, government, and the broader enterprise business community who are interested in cryptocurrency and how it may intersect with their responsibilities as the industry matures. Last week’s Twitter hack provided further proof that a fundamental understanding of cryptocurrency is crucial beyond those immersed directly in the industry. As it becomes more ubiquitous, it will increasingly be used by both good and bad actors and touch all industries.
The CCFC training course includes two days of interactive training. Virtual, webcam-based training is available now, and in-person training in small groups will be offered once the safety of participants can be ensured given the current Covid-19 pandemic. Both options allow participants from around the world to learn and network with each other. The course engages learners through practical exercises, group discussions, and case studies developed by Chainalysis experts. Trainers will provide materials and administer an exam.
“We’re excited to meet popular demand for a certification program that will educate beginners and inspire a new cohort of cryptocurrency professionals,” said Jason Bonds, Chief Revenue Officer, Chainalysis. “With cryptocurrency and blockchain technology entering the mainstream, ensuring widespread understanding of the technology is crucial for its safe and successful adoption.”
“The majority of individuals do not have the time or technical expertise to filter through the endless amount of information about cryptocurrency to focus on what matters,” said Tim Simpson, Compliance Analyst, Bittrex. “For individuals with a non-technical background or those needing to become quickly up-to-date on how cryptocurrency really works, the CCFC course provides a focused, well-organized and active learning experience that allows you to start asking the right questions and serves as a perfect introduction to cryptocurrency for those who need one.”
Anyone is eligible to apply for the CCFC course and all registrations will be reviewed before attendance is confirmed. Once the course is complete, participants who pass the exam will receive a two-year Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification, available as a digital certificate and LinkedIn badge.
